Fr. Joe's Illness
Fr. Joe Feeney had a heart attack last Sunday evening. He is receiving treatment in the cardiac unit at Galway Regional Hospital. He hopes he will make a good recovery. Fr. Joe wishes to thank the people most sincerely for their prayers and good wishes and for their concern for him.

Celebration of the Sacraments:His grace the Archbishop, Most Rev. Dr. Michael Neary will confirm our children on Friday 9 March. In preparation for this Fr. Benny McHale, Dunmore will speak to the parents of the children being confirmed on Thursday 25 January at 8 pm. in Granlahan Community Centre. The children will attend a day of preparation for Confirmation in Ballintubber Abbey on Wednesday 7 February.
Information Day & Exhibition at the Ballyhaunis Adult Learning Centre – Mayo VEC, The Friary Ballyhaunis on Wednesday 24th January 12.00 – 2.00 pm. & 4.00 pm. – 8.00 pm. Information will be provided about the wide range of courses on offer. Every effort is made to tailor courses to the needs of individuals. There will be an opportunity to consult privately with VEC officers.
West of Ireland Alzheimer Foundation has vacancies on the Community Employment scheme for Care Assistants and Bus Driver. Care Assistants required for Marian House Respite Home, Ballindine and for our in-home support service in all areas of Co. Mayo. Bus Driver required for transporting clients from their homes to and from Marian House for day care facilities. FÁS criteria apply.
