Our Lady’s School of Evangelisation and Jesus Youth present REXBAND live in the TF Royal on Sunday 30th August. Performers at three World Youth Day celebrations, this is an evening not to be missed. Join us for an event of praise and entertainment which includes dance, drama and hip hop and rock that will have you dancing on your seat. A show that any age would enjoy. Teagasc are holding a Biodiversity Farm Walk in conjunction with Heritage Week on the farm of Michael Finan, Castleteehan, Castlerea on Thursday 27th August at 2.30pm. All are welcome

Irish Night In Sciobol Ballintubber: On Thursday nights during the month of August a feast of music, song, and dance will take place for locals, visitors and tourists in the Sciobol from 9pm to 11pm.

The Tochar Phadraig Pilgrim Walks from Ballintubber Abbey to Croagh Patrick takes place on Saturday 29th Aug, departing the Abbey at 8.30am. This is the last organized walk for this year.

I would like to see more people taking part in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The time we spend in prayer is time well spent.

I would appeal also for more people to volunteer for reading in the church in Granlahan and Ballinlough



Knock Shrine National Novena commences Aug 14th with 2 sessions daily at 3pm and 8.30pm except Sat 15th and Sun 16th when ceremonies commence with anointing of the sick at 2,30pm. This is the 130th anniversary of the Knock Apparition 1879 – 2009. The theme of this novena is “Seeds of Hope”

I want to thank all the people who attended the cemetery masses in Ballinlough and Teamhair to pray for the repose of the souls of our loved ones. Granlahan on Monday at 8.30pm. There was a huge crowd. Many thanks to those who helped organise the mass and prepare the altar and took part in the liturgy. May the Lord reward you for your goodness.
