Roscommon IFA Public Meeting on Tues 30th March at 8.30pm in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon, to deal with all farming issues.  Guest speaker Mr. John Bryan, newly appointed IFA President.  All farm families welcome to attend.

There will be adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament on Friday 26th March in St. Patrick’s Church, Granlahan for twelve hours, commencing at 9am on Friday morning and concluding with mass at 9pm Friday evening. This time of adoration will give you an opportunity to pray for all families, especially those who are sick, families who are experiencing difficulties, students preparing for examinations and for the souls in Purgatory.  Your are invited to spend an hour this Lent in adoration, to pray if you wish for these intentions.

The show will be broadcast on RTE 1 at 6.30pm. Voting will take place between 7.30pm and 8.30pm. Please vote for Olwyn and help bring an All Ireland title to the West. Thank you.
Vision Seminar A unique opportunity to experience an Abundant Life – a programme on the eight beatitudes, takes place  in Knock on 20th March with Fr. Flann Lynch, of the Capuchin Friary, Kilkenny. All welcome.
The 5th & 6th Class in Carrick NS are preparing an Irish tribute to St. Patrick for mass on  next Tuesday evening at 8pm. All the pupils wish the best of luck to Olwyn Murray in the All Ireland  Talent Show Final.

Diocesan SafeguardingChildren policy
The revised Diocesan SafeguardingChildren policy is now complete and will be launched at seven centres throughout the diocese over the coming weeks.  Each parish and church area is asked to ensure that at least six people attend this launch and introductory presentation.  This number should include four members from the Parish Pastoral Council and anyone who has contact with children in a church setting e.g. sacristan, choir mistress, good news club and the parish representative.  This meeting and launch will take place Wed 10th March 8-9.30pm in Knock House Hotel.
The Jack & Jill Community playgroup have been shortlisted for a prize in the AIB Better Ireland Awards. Ballinlough Daycare Centre  The AGM of volunteers will be held on Monday 1st March at 6pm.  All members are requested to attend and new members very welcome.
Active Retirement Art classes will re-commence in Michael Glavey’s Community Centre on Tuesday 2nd March at 11am.  All budding artists are requested to bring paint and brushes with them on the day.
Pioneer Dance  Tickets available for this which will be held in the Árd Rí House Hotel, Tuam on Friday 5th March.  Please phone 96 40256.
Granlahan Forόige Club wish to thank everyone who supported their Haiti fundraiser so generously, also everyone who baked, advertised the event, donated raffle prizes and Granlahan Community Centre Committee for the use of the hall.  €1068 was raised.
