Ballinlough – Many thanks to the people of Cloonlee who looked after the church during the month of February.  Would the people of Mountain Upper & Lower care for it during the month of March.

First Friday Calls  Next Friday is the first Friday of the month, the Priest will visit the sick as usual:  Ballinlough – Thursday 4th March 10.30am.  Granlahan – Thursday 4th March 11am.  Cloonfad – Friday 5th March 10.30am.
Ballinlough Daycare Centre  The AGM of volunteers will be held on Monday 1st March at 6pm.  All members are requested to attend and new members very welcome.
Active Retirement Art classes will re-commence in Michael Glavey’s Community Centre on Tuesday 2nd March at 11am.  All budding artists are requested to bring paint and brushes with them on the day.
Pioneer Dance  Tickets available for this which will be held in the Árd Rí House Hotel, Tuam on Friday 5th March.  Please phone 96 40256.
Granlahan Forόige Club wish to thank everyone who supported their Haiti fundraiser so generously, also everyone who baked, advertised the event, donated raffle prizes and Granlahan Community Centre Committee for the use of the hall.  €1068 was raised. 
Ballinlough/Granlahan Youth Café Project have been shortlisted for a prize in the AIB Better Ireland Awards.  The next step is a public text or online vote, from 15/2/10 until 15/3/10, whereby the community decide how the €10,000. prize fund will be shared among the 3 shortlisted groups.  To vote by text, text CASTLER C to 51303.  To vote online:  Click on www.betterireland.ie select Castlerea branch and click on Group C.
