First Friday Calls: As next Friday is the 1st Friday of the month, the priest will visit the sick as usual. Granlahan : Thursday 2nd April 10.30am.

Balinlough: Friday 3rd April 10.30am.

Care of the Churches: Our thanks to the people of Mountain Upper and Lower who looked after the church during the month of March. Would the people of Carrraghs and Clooninsla take care of it during the month of April.

Granlahan: We thank Group B who cared for the church during the month of March. Would Group C look after it during the month of April. Group C Mary Gormley, Molly Griffin & Christina Neenan.

First Confession: We congratulate the children from Carrick NS who celebrated their first confessions on Wed last, also their parents and teacher. We pray God’s blessing on all of them as they prepare for their First Holy Communion.

Pastoral Council: There will be a meeting of Ballinlough Parish Pastoral Council on Monday 30th March at 8.30pm in the Parish Hall, Ballinlough.

Please Pray: Please pray for the repose of the soul of the late Delia Conlon, Ballybane who died recently.

Granlahan Community Centre: Congratulations to Granlahan Community Centre on the 25th Anniversary of its founding. May it continue to serve the community equally well in the future.

Security in the Home: Ballinlough/Granlahan Community Alert Committee will present an information evening on security in the home in Campbell’s lounge on Monday 30th March 8pm. Members of the Garda will attend.

Western Alzheimers: The Western Alzheimers is holding their annual Tea Day on Friday April 3rd. If you would like to hold a tea day please contact the Roscommon Office on 090 6627816 Mon to Fri 9.30am – 5pm.

Granlahan National School: Granlahan National School enrolment forms for next Sept, Junior Infants class are now available at the school.

Ros Citizens Info Service are holding a weekly clinic at the offices of Roscommon Women’s Network at the Old Mill, Castlerea every Wed from 2pm-5pm. No appointment necessary. For info call 0949621690.

IFA: IFA Public meeting on Monday 30th March @ 8.30pm in the Bush Hotel, Carrick On Shannon. All farm families are welcome to attend.

Confirmation: Sincere thanks to ArchBishop Michael Neary for visiting our parish and confirming our children. Our thanks also to all the teachers, pupils and parents who helped prepare the children for this important event in their lives. I want to thank sincerely the many other people who helped, the members of the choir who put in such a great effort and sang so beautifully on the day. Thanks to their organist Georgina Costello and Anne Teresa Cosgrove who directed the music.

Granlahan Church: The renovations and refurbishment of the Sanctuary area in Granlahan church is now complete. Sorry again for any inconvenience. I hope it helps us all to pray and to give glory to God as his people.

Granlahan Community Centre: Granlahan Community Centre will be holding a celebration mass on Friday 27th March at 8.15pm. This mass is to mark the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Community Centre. All are welcome and light refreshments will be served.

Churchgate Collection: The annual Roscommon churchgate collection for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus will take place next weekend March 28th and 29th in Granlahan and Ballinlough churches. Your support would be gratefully appreciated.

Pastoral Councils: Training for members of our Parish Pastoral Councils will take place Tuesday 24th March 8pm-10pm in the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris. It is important that all members of our Parish Pastoral Councils attend.

Connaught PTAA: Annual afternoon of prayer in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel, Knock on Sunday Mar 22nd from 3pm-6pm.
