Our sincere thanks to the Diocesan Youth Choir who san so beautifully for us on Sunday last, may they have God’s blessing to continue on the good work.   They will sing mass again during the Solemn Novena at Knock Shrine.
Care of the Churches:  Ballinlough:  Our thanks to the people of Cloonlough and Rabbitboro who looked after the flowers during the month of July.  Would the people of Clooncrim and Carrick West look after it during the month of August.

Ballinlough Gathering…and so it continues!   A Gig in The Garden will be held in
Donnellan’s, Ballinlough on Saturday 3rd August starting at 6pm.  Entertainment for
all the family, disco, bouncy castle, B.B.Q. and music by The Heebie Jeebie’s Band!
Something for all ages.  Adm.€5.   Children under 12 free.

Donations Urgently Required:  The Second-Hand Store Charity Shop, Main Street, Castlerea is now supporting Western Alzheimers and is appealing for donations of clothing, fabric, textiles, footwear, handbags, luggage items, accessories, small items of furniture, pictures, mirrors, toys and general household items and bric-a-brac.   Please call 086 8631455 or drop them into the store.   Open invitation:  Official store launch takes place on Thursday 15th August at 3pm.   Special offers in store on the day – all welcome.

We welcome the TuamDiocesan Youth Choir to our parish this Sunday.   They
will sing at the 12 noon Mass in Ballinlough church.  Our sincere thanks and
gratitude to them for this.  May they long continue to do this important work for
God and for his church.

Word of Thanks: The Comboni Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus wish to thank everyone who contributed so generously to their collection last Sunday.  Fr. Pat Wilkinson thanks also the people who helped with the collections and the sale of goods at the doors of the churches.  The combined amount collected from all three church areas was €1673.30.   Fr Pat assures us will be remembered in the prayers of the Comboni Missionaries and our donations will help a lot in their work among the poor.

The Comboni Missionaries will preach at all masses in the parish this weekend to tell people of the work they do in many missionary countries and to make an appeal for our prayers and financial help.

 Ballinlough Lake O’Flynn 10K Race committee in conjunction with
Ballinlough Gathering wish to thank the sponsors, athletes, stewards, Michael
Glavey’s Community Centre, Civil Defence, Garda Siochana, Roscommon Co.
Council, and all the people who gave their time and efforts so willingly and with
enthusiasm in ensuring the success of the race. Thank you to the ladies who took
the registrations, all who provided refreshments afterwards and to the ladies who
prepared it in Campbell’s.   A big thank you to all the residents on the race route
who turned out with water stations, refreshments and messages of support to all
the competitors.    Without you’re help, the race would not have been the great
success that it was.
