As Fr Tommy leaves the parish on Friday 17th July , I take this opportunity to bid him a fond farewell and congratulate him on his appointment as parish priest of Kilkerrin – Clonberne parish. He was a priest who had a great love and care for all his people and kindness itself. I wish him God’s blessing and the same success in his new parish as he enjoyed here.

The Ballinlough-Granlahan Community Development Council wish to thank everybody who helped in any way in last weekend’s community festival. It is impossible to list each individual involved as so many people gave their time and energy to make the festival a success. This was truly a community effort and the committee wish to extend a big thank you to all that helped us.

Cloonfad Mozamba Partnership: The 6th annual walk for Mozamba that took place on May 6th raised €6068. A cheque for that amount has been sent to Fr Eamonn Aylward the project co-ordinator and will be used to assist with other projects in Mozamba. To date €43846 has been raised by our parish - well done to everyone involved.
