I wish to thank all the members of the three Parish Pastoral Councils who attended the meeting on Wednesday last.   
Please pray for the respose of the soul of John  Walsh, formerly of Springgarden, Ballinlough and Santry, Dublin who died recently – uncle of Anne Hussey, Ballinlough.

As next Friday is the First Friday of the month I will visit the sick and housebound as usual:- Friday 3rd May -  Ballinlough–10.30am., Granlahan–11.00am , Cloonfad– 2.30pm.
Care of the Churches:- Ballinlough – Our thanks to the people of Carraghs and Clooninsla who took care of the flowers during the month of April. Would the people of Clooncalgy and Meelick look after them during the month of May. Granlahan – Sincere thanks to Group C who cared fro the church during the month of April. Would Group D look after it during the month of May. Group D – Noreen Coggins, Mary Patterson, Mary Raftery, Mai O’Gara, Ruth Sullivan, Angela Keaveney.
The annual Cemetery mass will be held in Ballinlough Cemetary on Sunday June 30th to co-incide with The Gathering celebrations.
The month of May is a month specially dedicated to Mary the Mother of God and there are always special devotions to her during this month. To mark the special love people have for Our Lady, we will have the rosary recited in all our churches each evening during this month – Ballinlough, Granlahan and Cloonfad at 8pm each evening.
Granlahan Card Game Winners – 1st Frank Cregg, Keogh Conboy, Maureen Devaney, Helen Hoban.  2nd – Sean Caulfield, Francis Conroy.  3rd – Paddy Conroy, Jack Griffin. Raffle Winners – Colin Conroy, Kevin Devaney, Brian Moylan,  Monday night is the last card game as Summer begins.
Ballinlough Gathering 2013 will be held 26-30th June. Events include heritage & history exhib., photographic exhib., rose reunion dance, road race, fishing comp., BBQ and cemetery mass.  For details and to let your friends and relative get more info.
