Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus: Friday 19th June is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. People have great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This year wehope to start the Novena of the Sacred Heart in Basllinlough and Granlahan churches. It will start on Thursday 11th June at 8pm in both churches.

CORPUS CHRISTI: This feast is on Sunday next 14th June. The Procession of the Blessed Sacrament will take place as usual after 11am Mass in Ballinlough and after 12 noon Mass in Granlahan.

Midsummer Mass at the Abbey: Open air Mass followed by bonfire and barbeque. This celebration of faith for young adults will take place at Ballintubber Abbey on Friday 19th June at 10.30pm All welcome.

The 50th International Eucharistic Congress will take place in Ireland in 2012. A collection will betaken up at all Masses on Sunday next Feast of Corpus Christi to help with the huge expenses of the occasion. (See poster)

Married Womens Fun Football Match. A short meeting will take place in Michael Glavey’s centre on Wednesday 10th June at 7.30pm for both Ballinlough and Granlahan women taking part in the upcoming Married Women’s match on the 4th July. All are welcome.

Carrick NS Family Fun Day on this Sunday June 7th in Lough Harps Soccer Pitch, Ballinlough. School football blitz at 12 noon followed by races and lots of side events. Also chips and ice-cream. Fun for all ages.
