Ballinlough Pastoral Council:   There will be a meeting of Ballinlough Pastoral Council on Tuesday next 30th Sept @ 8.30pm in the Parish Hall.

House Calls:  I will visit the sick and house bound as usual this week, but it will be on Thursday as I have to attend the doctor in Galway on Friday.

Care of the Churches:  Ballinlough:  Sincere thanks to the people of Carrick East, Coolatinney, Clydaugh and Loughill who looked after the flowers during the month of September.   Would the people of Coolougher, Churchboro and Fort Augustus look after them during the month of October.

The Archbishop, the Most Rev. Dr. Michael Neary will visit the parish on Wednesday 26th March next to confirm our children

Meeting:  There will be a meeting of the St. Joseph’s Cluster of Parishes on Monday night next @ 8pm in Knock House Hotel.

Granlahan 25 Card Game:  Long nights are beginning to draw in, so it’s time to begin the long awaited and enjoyable Twenty Five Card Drive in Granlahan community centre.   First game will be on Monday night 6th October @ 8.30pm.   All welcome for the usual lively night’s card game.

Thank You:  Kiltullagh branch of Hospice wish to thank most sincerely all who attended and gave so generously to our coffee mornings held last week.   Thanks to Cara and John A in Granlahan and Donie O’Connor in Ballinlough who gave the use of their premises so willingly for the coffee mornings.

Ballyhaunis Run West 8K road race in conjunction with fundraising for Ballyhaunis Community school takes place on Sunday 28th Sept. @ 3pm.  Registration in Ballyhaunis Rugby Club.   More information; 087 2455989

Recycling Centres:  New Opening Hours.   Roscommon Cou8nty Council Recycling Centres in Castlerea, Ballaghadereen, Boyle and Roscommon will be open as follows from Monday 29th September. Monday, Friday & Saturday: 8.00pm4.00pm.
Closed for lunch 1.00-12.30pm.   Roscommon town site remains open during lunch.   All sites are closed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Aerobics with Patricia @ 7.30 in Glavey’s Community Centre.   Classes take place every Monday and Wednesday night at 7.30pm.   Prepay and pay as you go options available.   Everyone welcome to get fit and get in shape.

8th National Grandparents Pilgrimage to Our Lady’s shrine at Knock takes place on Sunday 14th September.   Blessing of the sick @ 2.30pm, Mass @ 3pm.   Chief Celebrant, Archbishop Charles Brown, Papal Nuncio.   Everyone welcome.   Children are invited to compose a prayer for their Grandparents and send it to CGA office, Castlebar St., Wesport, Co Mayo.   All prayers will be displayed in the basilica and blessed during the Mass.
