The Annual Pilgrimage to Kiltullagh Hill will take place on this Sunday 29th May with Mass at 4pm.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Timothy Lavin, Lavallyroe and the repose of the soul of Michael Ruane, Granlahan who died recently.

Crime Prevention: Sergeant Paul McDermott, Crime Prevention Officer, & Garda Sinead Higgins, Community Policing, will give a talk on crime prevention, in Campbell’s lounge, Wed. 1st June @ 8pm. The public are encouraged to attend. All Community Alert members are asked to attend.

Carrick N.S. Ballinlough are holding their Annual family fun day, Sunday 5th June at Lough Harps soccer pitch. Blitz begins @12 noon, followed by the sports day @ 2pm. Races for all ages including slow bicycle race, sack races etc. Side events include sheaf tossing, face painting, bouncing castle & many more. Fun day for all the family. Ice- cream and chip van on pitch. Admission optional.

Ballinlough/Granlahan Heritage group are sponsoring a public showing of the award winning film “The Pipe”, (An Píopa), The White House Hotel, Fri. June 3rd @9pm. Anyone interested in issues relating to the impact of industrialisation, commercial development, planning decisions on small rural communities are asked to attend. We hope the film will stimulate discussion & debate around these issues on the night. Adm. free.

The Annual Cemetery masses will take place as usual this summer:

Granlahan Cemetery: Monday 18th July @8.30pm.

Ballinlough Cemetery: Sunday 24th July @ 3.30pm.

Teamhair Cemetery: Monday 25th July @ 8.30pm.

Br. Peter Roddy, the Franciscan Brothers, Mountbellew, would like to thank all who contributed to collection on Sunday last, to help with their work in the Mission fields of Uganda and Kenya. Total collected €1345.

Day Centre Volunteers sincerely thank everyone who contributed to their collection last weekend. Your support is greatly appreciated.
