Usual Card Game in Granlahan Community Centre on Mon. night at 9pm.

Mass is on Monday evenings at 8pm during Lent to give people a chance to attend Mass and to have a few quiet moments during this season.

There will be Stations of the Cross in Granlahan Church every Friday during Lent at 7.30pm, before the 8.15pm Mass.

Station Masses

  • Will be held in the home of Brian & Barbara Moylan on Saturday 8th March at 11am for the Clooncalgy and Meelick Roe areas.
  • Will be held in the home of Stephen Fitzmaurice on Monday 10th March at 8.30pm for the Churchboro, Fort Augustus and Coolougher areas.
  • Will be held in the home of Tom & Fiona Ruane on Friday 7th March at 8.30pm for the Lisnagroobe, Barrinagh and Kiltullagh areas

Training for members of Parish Pastoral Councils will take place throughout the diocese. The venue for our meeting is The Community Centre, Granlahan. Members of the Pastoral Councils from Ballinlough Parish and Dunmore Parish will meet there on Wednesday 5th March 8pm-10pm. All members are requested to attend.

First Friday – As Friday is the first Friday of the month, the Priest will visit the sick and housebound as usual.

Lough Harps FC will be registering players in the under 12, under 14 and under 16 age group on Saturday 8th March from 3pm to 4.30pm at the Club House. Registration fees of €50.00 per player or €70.00 per family will be payable on registration. A parent must attend with any player registering for the new season which is expected to begin in early April. All are welcome. Under 8 and under 10 players will be registered later.

Care of the Churches

Ballinlough – our thanks to the people of Cloonlee who cared for the church during the month of February. Would the people of Mountain Upper and Mountain Lower look after it during the month of March.

Granlahan – Sincere gratitude to Group A who looked after the church during the month of February. Would Group B look after it during the month of March. Group B – Margaret McGuire, Mary Birmingham, Teresa Lynch, Bernie Ruane, Tracey McDermott and Maureen Burke.
