Michael Glavey's Annual Awards

Belated news of the fairly recent awards at Michael Glaveys Club and annual dinner dance in the White House Hotel in Ballinlough
The special guests on the night were Stephen Banaghan, chairman of the Roscommon County Board, and Fr. Liam Devine, P.R.O.

The recipient of the Club Person of the Year award was Padraig Beirne from Ballinlough for his major contribution to club activities during 2004.
The Senior Player of the Year went to John T. Burke from Cloonfad.
The U-21 recipient was Sean Gallagher from Ballinlough
Minor Player of the Year award went to Shane Cummins from Mount Delvin.
Junior award - Declan Caulfield from Granlahan
U-16 award went to Danny Flatley, Cloonfad.

The Glaveys girls teams enjoyed a good year on the playing fields and a number of awards were presented on the night. The minor girls were presented with their county medal and the intermediate girls with the runners-up medals.
The Senior Player of the Year went to Joanne Ronane from Granlahan and the recipient of the Minor Player of the Year was Margaret Fox, Granlahan.
The winner of the U-16 award was Aoife Fitzmaurice from Ballinlough.

UNDERAGE AWARDS
The Michael Glaveys Club held a special presentation night for both the boys and girls teams in Cloonfad Community Centre recently too

Roscommon senior goalie Shane Curran presided at the presentation to the U-12 boys who received their championship and league medals. The U-14 Player of the Year award went to Sean Markham and the recipient of the U-12 award was Michael McDonnell.
Mayo ladies football legend Cora Staunton was also guest of the club and she presided at the presentation to the U-12 girls team that won county honours. Another Mayo player, Yvonne Byrne from Ballyhaunis, presented the U-14 girls with their runners-up medals. Cora also presented the U-14 Player of the Year award to Lisa Walsh and the U-12 award to Alma Mannion.
