Kiltullagh parish Community Games
The annual Kiltullagh parish Community Games athletics sports day was held recently in Cloonfad NS playing field. It was a great success with a large number of children taking part and well supported by their parents. The playing field looked resplendent and was perfect for the occasion. All the participants received a medal of some kind so everyone went home happy and their was the usual novelty races which were enjoyed by young an d old alike. Among those were the potato and spoon race, sack race, piggy back race and three legged race. Two races which were keenly fought was the fathers race which was won by Gerry McDonagh and the mothers race which was won by Geraldine Cregg. Many of the winners of the events were selected to go forward to the county finals in Roscommon
