Granlahan school beaten by Carrick
A "local derby" match took place today at 11.00 at the Michael Glaveys GAA pitch. The boys Gaelic Football team from Granlahan National School took on their Parish neighbours from Carrick National School in Ballinlough. It was a close match - played in the hot sun which took it's toll on everyone. By half tme the two sides could not be separated - the points were shared. A hard fought second half saw Carrick get the advantage - and by the end they won by 2 goals. A good match to watch - maybe some County players for the future in there somewhere ?
