Video and DVD launch a success

The Griffin Inn in Cloonfad was packed to over-flowing for the "premiere" of Pat Kearney's hour long film "A Wedding in the Making" last Friday night.
The launch was a resounding success and the production went down a real treat.Shot on location in Cloonfad and Kiltullagh near Lisnagroobe, the theme centres around a plot hatched in Delia Tarpey's kitchen and the follow-up to an advertisement in the Farmer's Journal. There were numerous laughs throughout the screening as the huge gathering showed their appreciation for many of the humorous twists and turns in the "sceal".
Pat Kearney from Cloonfad, who wrote the script and who was the driving force behind the entire production, expressed delight with the reaction to the finished product. The compere for the night, Gerry Glennon from Mid-West Radio, and a native of the parish, said the response had been overwhelming and that many copies of the video and DVD were already winging their way to natives of the region living overseas. Those who feature in the cast of "A Wedding in the Making" were Margaret Brennan, Mary Kearney, Vincent Moylette, Tom McHale, Pat Kearney, Caroline Gormley, Michael, John and Catriona Gormley, Tom Moran, Shaun Kearney, Sharon Kearney, Kerry Walsh, Joe Sharkey, Michael Jennings, John Walsh, Gerry Cummins, Dominic Murphy, Michael Higgins, Paddy Joe Tighe and John Dowling.
